Serving Conestogo, Waterloo County
Conestogo was settled in the 1820s by Pennsylvania German Mennonites who brought the Conestoga wagon-building tradition with them — the village is named for the Conestoga River it sits along. The Conestogo River bridge, the historic Three Sisters Pubs, and the Mennonite farms surrounding the village preserve the strong Pennsylvania-German heritage of Woolwich Township.
