Serving Waterdown, Hamilton County
Waterdown was settled in 1823 by Ebenezer Griffin, who built a sawmill on Grindstone Creek above the dramatic 27-metre Smokey Hollow Falls. The village retained its small-town character through the 20th century and has grown rapidly since amalgamating with Hamilton in 2001. The downtown Dundas Street East heritage district and the Smokey Hollow Falls walk remain Waterdown's signature destinations.
