Serving Petersburg, Waterloo County
Petersburg was settled in the 1830s by German immigrants in what is now Wilmot Township. The community grew slowly as a farming centre between Kitchener and New Hamburg, and the Castle Kilbride National Historic Site nearby is the area's signature attraction — a fully restored 1877 Italianate mansion built by the Livingston flax-mill family.
