Serving Oil Springs, Lambton County
Oil Springs is the birthplace of the commercial oil industry in North America — James Miller Williams drilled the continent's first commercial oil well here in 1858, a year before Pennsylvania's celebrated Drake well. The Oil Museum of Canada preserves dozens of working jerker-line pumps that still tap the original Lambton crude, and the village remains a remarkable industrial-heritage time capsule.
