Serving Highgate, Chatham-Kent County
Highgate was settled in the 1850s in Orford Township along the original Talbot Trail and named after Highgate in north London. The small Chatham-Kent village grew up as a farming-service crossroads and remains best known for its proximity to Rondeau Provincial Park and the Lake Erie shoreline beaches that draw cottagers throughout the summer.
