Serving Mount Forest, Wellington County
Mount Forest was founded in 1851 at the highest point of the watershed between the Saugeen and Grand rivers — the source of the village's name. The community grew up as a service centre for north Wellington County farming and earned the local nickname "Town on the Hill"; downtown Main Street still climbs the same ridge that defined the original settlement.
